Famed Photo Collection to Be Shown "The Family of Man," Edward Steichen's photographic survey of man's life, love and looks in 60 nations, will be exhibited by the Municipal Art Commission in Barnsdall Park beginning March 18. Its 500 pictures by 275 photographers have been culled by Steichen and his staff from more than 2,000,000 photographs, according to Kenneth Ross. director of the Municipal Art Dept. The Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Park is near the intersection of Vermont Ave. and Hollywood Blvd.

Exhibition hours will be 1 to 9 p.m. week days and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, the some hours that prevail now at the current exhibit of motion picture art. Most exhibits at the municipal gallery are free but "The Family of Man" will cost the visitor 50 cents to defray the high costs of installation and transportation from the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Singers to Perform Three combined choral numbers will climax the third annual Business and Industry Chorus Festival to be held Saturday night.

Formed in 1948, the Valley Artists' Guild is headed by H.

E. Huey, president, and Viona Ann Kendal, vice president, with J. Duncan Gleason as exhibition chairman. The exhibit, open to the public without charge, will comprise 32 works by 26 individual artists. Most of those to be shown are oil paintings, though there are also a few drawings and watercolors.

Exhibition hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The gallery is closed on week ends.
