ADVERTISING IIIDEX Test 6 favoritism ch argesrenewe the 1975 disclosure that the test questions were all changed, but because so much time had passed mothing couid heidontln change the status of those who'd passed the test including Roche. Lynch told the commission he believed the favoritism shown in the 1971 issue appears to be an ongoing thing in the assessors office." Commission president Louise Frenkel said the three-member panel had received a preliminary report on the 1971 incident from the county personnel staff, adding 'Mt gave enough reason to want to know whats going on. She said she would like to find out whether any Boy falls into pool, drowns A 7-year-old Lakewood boy climbed a fence in ursuit of -a batt-Wedne--ay, fell into a backyard swim mine pool and died in a hospital despite a teen agers rescue attempt Sheriffs deputies said Norman Tatum of 6148 Eastbrook Ave. climbed the backyard fence of a vacant house at 6106 East-brook about 5:10 p.m.

after his ball had landed in the yard. The boy apparently fell into die pool and was seen floating unconscious minutes later by his sister. Her cries for help brought Stan Urbanski, 17, who dove into the pool, brought out young Tatum and gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until paramedics arrived. Despite the efforts, the boy died at Doctors Hospitals fat about 7 p.m. Track crashes man against wall A Huntington Park man was fatally injured Wednesday when the pickup truck he was working on started rolling and crushed him against a building.

Highway Patrol officers said John H. Snipes, 60, of 8215 S. Wall St, was injured at 11:45 a.m. on Rosebemr Avenue just south of Florence Avenue in the Huntington Park area. He was dead on arrival at St.

Francis Hospital in Lynwood. Services ad gains Sacramento (ap) A bill that would allow rhysicians, dentists and awyers to advertise prices for services was reported out to the Assembly floor Wednesday. KBLIC NOTICE The Country Parson It seems everybody worries about money some about getting it and others about keeping it L.A. bus trial recess is denied Aitiate4ftfi Los Angeles Court Judge Paul fused Wednesday to the. seven-week-old Los Angeles school district integration trial and send the district's controversial integration plan back ta the Board Education for revision.

In seekingthe recess, attorney Harvey Safer-stein said continuation was pointless in view of critical testimony by the boards own witnesses and Eglys own previously expressed oubts about whether the plan met State Supreme Court desegregation requirements. Saferstein, who represents a group called Bet- ter Education for Students Today (BEST), also alluded to Eglys earlier comments that the plan was full of hot air and contained Mickey Mouse language. But Egly said it would be unfair to the Board of Education to recess the trial at this time without what the judge called a thought-out ruling on the adequacy of the integration plan. Instead of wasting time and money on continuing he trial, Saferstein argued that the plan should be returned to the board for either reworking or explanation why the board cannot come up with an expanded plan that might meet the court guidelines. Saferstein said BEST hoped to work with the school district to work out a more extensive integration dan that could be implemented quickly.

Safersteirs motion came after UCLA social-psychologist Harold Gerard said on cross-examination that race relations might be strained by mandatory busing of kindergarten students. Dr. Gerhard also testified that lack of parental support for mandatory busing would adversely affect teaming progress of students in lower grades.
