The expectation of listeners sharing this interest is not to be disappointed to-night. William Walton's Viola Concerto, in which Lionel Tertis will be the soloist, and Hindemith's symphony "Mathis der Maler" are in the programme.

Suggested by Paintings The symphony belongs to the composer's later period (it was composed a little more than two yeaTS ago) and it is said, a warmer, more romantic nature than did Hindemith's earlier music. Mathis of the title was a Khenish painter, contemporary with the elder Holbein, whose masterpiece was an Any day Any three. Lines Saturday but days -within Week Saturday a week a. d. s.
