Raymond Pyrant of Providence, N.C. The bride-eiect is a graduate of Bartlett Yan-cey High School and is attending i Business College in Greensboro, N.C. as a sophomore law major in secretarial science. Mr. Pyrant is also a graduate of Bartlett Yaneey High School and is attending i Business College where he is a sophomore, majoring in ac- counting.

MRS. LUTHER VERNON MOON The marriage of Miss Elsie Diane Bennett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Bennett, to Luther Vernon Moon, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Vernon F. Moon, all of Gretna, took place Saturday, June 21, at 4 o'clock, in Anderson Memorial i Methodist Church in Gretna. The Reverand Harold Kirby performed the double i ceremony before a setting of palms and brass candelabras lighted white tapers, and arrangements flowers. The pews were marked with miniatrue white carnations and baby's breath with white streamers.

Traditional wedding music was played by Mrs. Pelros Cocke and R. G. Rowland sang "Whither Thou Goest" and the "Wedding Given in marriage by her the bride wore an A-line gown of silk with long i sleeves. The Empire waist, the yoke, and the oval neckline, were enhanced with handrolled re-embroidered Alencon lace.

The A-line skirt and detachable watteau train were highlighted with Alencon motifs. Her headdress was a cathedral length mantilla of imported silk illusion edged in re-embroiderec Alencon lace attached to a hall crown. She carried a traditional cascade bouquet of while roses baby's baby's breath, and ivy centered with a white hybric orchid. The bride wore a golc broach that was worn by her great, great, grandmother on her wedding day. father, Empire organza Mrs.

Wayne Nester, cousin of he bride, was matron of honor. She wore a full length gown of white dotted swiss over pink designed with Empire waist, scooped neck and short sleeves. Her matching head- dress was a bouffant veil at- tached to a double bow. She carried a cascade of pink varigated miniature carnations and ivy. Lisa Del Bennett, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

She wore an Empire waist dress ol white dotted swiss over pink taffeta and accented by a pink sash, and carried a white basket of pink rose petals. David Bennett, brother of the bride was ring bearer. Lloyd H. Doss served as best man for his nephew. TThe groomsmen were Floyd R.

Bennett, uncle of the bride Johnny Johnson, Reuben Dosb and Steve Mann. Following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained will a reception in the church socia hall where decorations were in pink and white. Mrs. Frank greeted the guests. i Elizabeth Ava Price, cousin of the bride, attended the guest register.

Assisting in serving were Mrs. Gordon N. Cockc, Mrs. Floyd R. Bennett, Mr.s.

Robert H. Ferguson Miss Cindy Inge, Miss Joan Shclton. and Miss Kathy Motley. For travel the bride wore a yellow dress a a ensemble with white accessories MISS SARAH MACLEOD Dr. and Mrs.

John D. Mac- Leod, Jr. announce the en- gagement of their daughter, Sarah Martha MacLeod, to Robert William Owens, Jr. Mr. Owens is -the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Robert W. Owens of Benneltsville, S.C. The wedding wilt take place September 6 at The Church in the Pines, Laurel Hill, N.C. Miss MacLeod and Mr.

Owens are recent graduates of St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. where she received a B.A. degree in economics and Mr. Owens re- ceived a B.A.
