Two Firms Looted at Jerseyville JERSEYVILLE broke into two JerseyviUe businesses Tuesday and Wednesday and made off with $5 in cash, police reported.

Burglarized were the Implement Co. and the Charles Sauerwin News Agency. Thieves gained entry into the implement company sometime Wednesday night after breaking out a window on the east side of the building. Jerseyville police lieutenant Dale Ogden investigated the burglaries. East Alton Man Injured In Crash A 45-year-old East Alton man was injured Wednesday in a crash at Grand and Murray in East Alton. Theodore Smith, 210 Grand, a passenger in a car driven by his son, William, 20, was treated for a large bump on his forehead and released from Wood River Township Hospital. Driver of the second car, Richard Schlegel, 34, of Salem, was charged with careless driving. Police said the Smith euto, westbound on Grand, was knocked 63 feet by the Schlegel auto, which was southbound on Murray.

Police said the Schlegel told them he did not see the Smith car approach the intersection in time to avoid the crash. Woman Hit By Bike in East Alton Mrs. Danie L.
