Cameron-Bray Vows Performed Lovely Wedding Unites Miss Marguerite Bray And Ronald Cameron tTJi Govans Presbyteriam Church was the scene of a lovely wedding of local interest on Saturday, December 27 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon when Miss Marguerite McComas Bray, daughter Mrs, M. McComas Bray, St. Paul Street, Baltimore, became the bride of Ronald Ross Cameron, son of Dr. and Mrs. William Koss Cameron.

Dr. Lloyd G. Ice performed the double ring ceremony before a setting of Christmas greens, white candles, baskets of white gladioli and chrysanthemums. Mrs. Calvin Willner was the organist and presented the traditional nuptial selections preced- and following the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Louis Q. McComas, Baltimore, the bride wore a gown of candlelight satin with a short train and veil of illusion failing from a tiara of pearls. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis centered with white orchids. Miss Jacqueline Bray was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a red velvet gown and a headdress of holly and carried velvet muff trimmed with green orchid and green streamers with small white bells.

The bridesmaids were the Misses Joan and Carol Cameron, sisters of the bridegroom. They red velvet dresses and holly headdresses fashioned after the one worn by the maid of honor. They carried white velvet muffs trimmed with holly and pine 'cones, darker green streamers and small white bells. Roy M. Snyder, of Hagerstown, served as best man and the ushers were Maurice T.

McRae and Paul F. Wiest, of Baltimore, H. Edwin Semler, Hagerstown. and Robert M. Johnson, Cumberland.

For the wedding, Mrs. Bray selected a rose beige chiffon and lace dress with black accessories and an orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother was attired in powder blue taffeta with matching accessories and an orchid corsage. A reception followed the ceremony in the chapel of the church which was decorated with holly and other Christmas greens. Dur- 'in'g the evening the couple left for a wedding trip to New York.

JACOBY ON BRIDGE Planning Will Make Your More Fun For the end of the year I have chosen a "bread and butter" hand. There is nothing very spectacular about it, but it is just the sort of hand that the expert never misplays and that the average player always does. He continues by- leading the deuce of diamonds from dummy and finessing the jack from his own hand. When the finesse succeeds, South continues with the ace of diamonds, clearing the suit.

Now South can lead his carefully preserved four of diamonds to dum- my's five of diamonds. This simple care in the play of the diamonds gives dummy an extra entry for the play of the clubs Dummy next leads a low club, and South finesses the ten, losing' to West's ace. West leads another! heart, and dummy wins with the! queen. Now, and only now, is it time to lead the jack of clubs. If East! covers, he sets up the rest ofj club suit.

If East plays a low club, dummy holds the lead with the jack and can then leadj another club for a repetition of! the finesse. If South were less careful about preserving entries to the dummy in order to play the clubs properly he would wind up making only two club tricks and might make only nine tricks instead of tricks. i "What's the difference," you; might ask, "as long as he makes i his contract?" The answer is that! the player who consistently makes an extra trick when it is both pos-j sible and safe to do so will wind! up at the end of the year with! thousands of points more than thej player who drops those extra i tricks. This is the end of the year, and I if you want those thousands of; extra points, maybe you can make your plans for next year's bridge playing. Plan to think you'll enjoy the game more, and the results will show on the scorepad.
