Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the funeral home with interment in Morton Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mike May and Rev. Rodney Bounds officiated. Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements.

AScott County native, he was the oldest son of the late Jack E. and Talullah (Toolie) Latham Lee. He was a graduate of Morton High School and Mississippi State University. John retired as a General Motors Franchise new car dealer in Forest. He was active in the Mississippi Automobile Dealers Association, serving in numerous offices including President.

John proudly served as a Mississippi State Senator from 1976-1984 for Scott and Newton County where he was a member of a num- ber of legislative committees including Finance, Highways and Transportation, Agriculture, Game and Fish, Oil and Gas, Investigate State Offices and Enrolled Bills. He previously served on the Board of Trustees of East Central Community College and on the Board of Directors of Mid-Mississippi Development District. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jean Vaughn Lee; grandson, Abbott Tischner and his only sibling brother, J. A. (Buddy) Lee.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Fay Lee; a son, Jack (Jane) Lee II of Brandon; daughter, Janis Tischner of Kennesaw, two grandchildren, Stacey Lee (Brett) Boyett and Barrett of North Hollywood and John E. Lee II of Omaha, family members, Franklin (Joy) Power, Brady and Bryce, Tami P. (William) Carollo, Krystle C. (Nick) Hinton and Helen, Whitney C. (Cory) Messer, Tatum, Cooper and Kendal.

Pallbearers were John Lee II, Brett Boyett, Joe Lee, Jeff Lee, Brady Power and Bryce Power. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Bible Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Brandon. John was an active member of First Baptist Church in Brandon and the family request in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the First Baptist Church Brandon, CTL Fund, 309 South College Street, Brandon, MS 39042. Lackey Hospital in Forest.

Visitation was held from 10 until 10:45 a.m. and funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, at the funeral home with burial following in the Antioch Steele Cemetery. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements. Truitt A.

Sullivan MORTON Truitt Sullivan, 74, of Morton, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, at the funeral home with burial at Clifton Baptist Cemetery.

Thomas Charles Hardy Brown NEWTON Services for Thomas Charles Hardy Brown were held on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at the funeral home. He was born on July 16, 1958 and passed away on August 27, 2014.
