The court discharged tho jury and adjonmed for the term. LofjoraotlTa Ball. Turner hall to-night presented an af pear- rnee the equal of which has never before been in Houston. The occasion was the annual ball of Bayou City iodffe Na 146, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen, and the boys made every endeavor to make this surpass piovioue efforts. At a rory early hour this morning there was a severs blow, accompanied by couuidorablu lightning, that visited tho city. The others will arrive during next week. The datnnge done by tho electric shock during the blow this morning will require several days to repair.
