Friday, November 24, 1978 UKIAH AREA CHURCH NEWS Trinity Baptist Sunday evening beginning at 7, some church members, under the direction of Stan Christianson. will be presenting two short plays at Trinity Baptist Church, 900 S. Dora Sunday morning Bible study begins at 9:45 for all ages followed by the 11 a.m. worship service led by Pastor Joe Fry.

The children's Sunday School department is preparing for its Christmas program which will be presented Dec. 10. The second practice for the program will be Sunday morning. The church choir continues in its preparation of the Christmas contata to be presented Dec. 17.

Anyone interested in participating in the contata is welcome to come to the practice following the Sunday evening worship service. Crusade at Assembly of (rod The Rev. Tommy Beard, PhD, will return to Ukiah for his second Creative Counseling Crusade Sunday, Nov. 26, through Wednesday Nov. 29, at the Assembly of God, 395 N.

Barnes St. Dr. Beard combines the insights gained from his training in psychology and counseling with Biblical principles for an abundant and meaningful life, according to the church. The counseling crusade here last year was considered one of the most successful meetings in the history of the Ukiah Assembly, according to Dr. E.

Ward Willoughby, pastor, Dr. Beard, who deals with personal and family problems in his counseling ministry, will speak at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

He will also minister in song at each service. The public is invited. Methodists Celebration by church school will begin Sunday morning activities at 9:30 a.m. at the Ukiah United Methodist Church. 270 N.

Pine St. Worship service will begin at 11 a.m. with ministers Art Gafke and Jerry Fox. Scriptures are Ezekiel I Corinthians and Matthew Liturgist will be Ken Larson. The youth group will meet at 6 p.m.

Sunday. Grace Lutheran ''Our Baptismal Fellowship" is the title of the sermon at the 10:30 worship service at Grace Lutheran Church Sunday. Five children will be baptised into the Christian faith at this service by Pastor Del Kjorvestad. The children of Kathie McVay's Sunday School class will present a dramatization of Jesus' baptism during the children's story segment of the service. Sunday School classes for all ages continue each week at 9:15.

Students are nearing the end of the first attendance period after which awards for good and perfect attendance will be presented. The Grace Lutheran Church Women have scheduled the annual Advent Breakfast for Saturday, Dec. 2 at 9:30 a.m. The event marks the beginning of the Advent preparation for the birth of Christ. The breakfast is being catered by Corinne Liberty and women are invited to bring their daughters and friends.

The $3 pickets should be reserved in jtdvance with Pearl Barton, or Dorothy Bet- Tencourl, 462-1397. Following breakfast, a program of drama, special music, and jjroup singing has been The Sunday evening training session for adults, under the direction of Wayne Wilson, begins at 6. During this hour, the youth are led in their Bible study by Youth Pastor Tom Holladay, and the children have a training program under the direction of Sharon Wilson. The children's training program will be including chalk drawing lessons presented by Bill Wheeler. The young adult department is making preparations for its Christmas progressive dinner.

Final plans will be presented soon. The beginning of December will bring to mind the special foreign mission program emphasis in which all members will be asked to participate. Full Gospel. Fellowship convention Herb Ellingwood, special assistant attorney general for the State of California, will speak at the Redwood Empire Regional Convention of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI). The convention will be held at the El Rancho Tropicana, 2200 Santa Rosa Ave.

Before assuming his current position, Ellingwood served as legal affairs secretary to former Governor Ronald Reagan.
