Police notes Grayslake Tim S. Emskamp, 40, 511 Lacy Streamwood, was arrested Tuesday and charged with battery, and disorderly conduct after he got into a fight in an apartment on the 600 block of Center Street, police said. His court date was set for Dec. 10. Gurnee Someone stole a coat and car keys Monday from a female patient at a chiropractor's office, 4211 Grove police said.

The woman hung the coat in the lobby and discovered it missing later, reports said. A witness saw a man drop the coat in the parking lot, but the keys were missing from the coat pocket, reports added. Value was estimated at $25. Two men and two women left Lonestar Steakhouse Monday with- outpayingthe $108 food bill; police- said. One woman used a credit card to pay for the meals, but it came back denied, reports said.

With students in all-district band, choir, orchestra and jazz band, the choir and band directors at Warren are quite pleased with this year's results. A daylong all-district rehearsal and performance event will take place Saturday at Maine East High School, 2601 W. Dempster in Park Ridge. A public performance will be given at 3 p.m. in the school's field house, with the orchestra performing Gist, followed by the choir and the band.

During the day, students will have the opportunity to rehearse with top directors, and the public performance will showcase the talent and hard work of all the participants. Senior Claire Dieter, one of only two Warren students selected for the prestigious all-district orchestra, auditioned on her violin. She practiced intensely prior to her audition. "I even practiced over the summer," Dieter said. "I'm really excited Laurie Lytef Warren Tawiidiib High School two of four prepared songs, Deason said.
