At junior high relays: NA first, SA second as usual It was a case of same song, second verse (only in this case it was the fourth verse), as North Allegheny won the Shaler Area Junior High School In- Relays Saturday. Each of the tour years the relays -have been held, North Allegheny has finished first and Shaler Area, second, and this was no exception. Twelve teams throughout the area participated: NA, SA.with a No.

1 and a No. 2 team, Dorseyville, North Hills. Quaker Valley, Seneca Valley, O'Hara. Norwin West, Highlands, Moon and Linton. It is the largest meej of this kind for junior high school track and field in the Sports shorts area: Many outstanding performances were turned in by various athletes for the events of the day.

Haley of North Allegheny set a track record in the light weight long John Carlos of set the track record in the heavy weight long jump and Dan Sigler of Shaler Area tied the track record in the light weight pole vault. Meet records were set in the distance medley relay by Shaler Area with Mager Walker Greg Gibbons, Phil Ridley and Dan Kingenberg running the respective legs. North Allegheny set a meet record in the light weight long jump and Norwin West tied the record in the heavy weight high jump. Opening day for the boys Babe Ruth League (formerly pony house league) will be Saturday, May 10, at Carson Field. Tuesday, May 13, the boys farm league its season at Kaufmann's Field. Richland softball Final registration for girls softball in Richland will be held Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. in Richland Youth Foundation.

Girls 8-12 as of July 31, 1975, may sign up with Richland Baseball Association. Girls 13-17 may sign with Richland Youth Foundation. Football registration in WV West View Youth Football Association will hold registration for boys 8 to 12 at No. 3 Fire Hall, Perry Highway, Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Applications for coaches and trainers will also be accepted at that time.
