The bride is a graduate of Hays High School, Emporia State University and University of Missouri-Kansas City, with a master's degree in social work. She is a social worker employed by SRS. The bridegroom is a graduate of Hoxie High School and Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in elementary education and an endorsement in building leadership. He is an elementary school principal in Eureka USD 389.

Following a wedding trip to Breckinridge, the newlyweds are at home in Eureka. McNeil-Meinhardt Nicole Renee McNeil and Kent Meinhardt were married Sept. 3, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with the Rev. Earl Befort officiating.

She is currently attending Kansas State University majoring in electrical engineering. She is employed by Wal-Mart in the accounting department. The bridegroom is a graduate of Wabaunsee Senior High School, Alma, and Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial and manufacturing engineering. A March 25, 2006, wedding is planned at the Marchel Ranch, Dodge City. Marine Corps Pvt. Scott M. Davis, son of Fran and Thomas Davis of Sharon Springs, recently graduated from the Ammunition Technician Specialist Course while assigned to Marine Corps Detachment Redstone Arsenal, Ala. During the course, Davis was instructed on the basics of automated accountability, receipt, storage, issue, handling and inventory of ammunition.

Davis is a 2000 graduate of Middletown High School North of Middletown, N. and joined the Marine Corps in June 2005. Marine Corps Pvt. Lucas 3. Military Marquee They performed close order drill and operated as a small infantry unit during field training.

Herrman and other recruits also received instruction on the Marine Corps' core values honor, courage and commitment, and what the core values mean in guiding personal and professional conduct. Herrman and fellow recruits ended the training phase with The Crucible, a 54-hour, team evolution culminating in an emotional ceremony in which recruits are presented the Marine Corps Emblem, and addressed as "Marines" for the first time in their careers. In addition to the physical conditioning program, Herrman spent numerous hours in classroom and field assignments, which included learning first aid, uniform regulations, combat water survival, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and assorted weapons training.
