Gonano, 51. who died at home, 31 Mazer Ross. Sunday Mrs. Gonano was a Democratic committeewoman and a member of North Hills Chapter 526, Order of Eastern Star, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Elio R.

Gonano; a daughter. Usa at it home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer F. Anderson of Ross, and one sister, Mrs.

Joy Ortman. Friends were received at the Simons Funeral Home, 2025 PerrysvUle 26th Ward, where services will be held dt 2 p.m. today, Wednesday. Burial will be in United Cemetery, Ross Township. Freda Benson, 89 Mrs.

Freda Benson, 89, formerly of Shaler, died in Long Beach, Sunday, Feb. 23,1975. Mrs. Benson was the of Nelson Benson. I She leaves three children, Clarence of Shaler and Mrs.

George Guest and Robert Benson, both of Long Beach; Ove grandchildren, and three great- grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by the E. J. Pfeifer Funeral Home, 512 Grant Millvale. Private services and burial are being held this afternoon (Wednesday).

Mass slated today for Shaler skydiver Mass of the Christian Burial will be sung today for John R. Bourchier, 59, who was killed Saturday while skydiving with the Beaver Valley Skydivers in New Sewickley Township, Beaver County. Mr. Bourchier, of 126 Highlander Heights Drive, Shaler, plunged 7,500 feet to his death. He was making his second jump of the day with the club when his main and reserve parachutes failed.

Two other club members who made the jump with him said the victim apparently was in trouble and they tried to reach him in the air. They said he appeared to right himself and finally deployed the. reserve chute but not until he was only about 50 feet from the ground. New Sewickley Township police and the Federal Aviation Agency are continuing their investigation into the death. Mr.

Bourchier's brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Ida, saw him fall. They had come from Newburgh, N.Y., to watch the jump. Paul said his brother had taken up skydiving last fall so he could surprise his son, also a skydiver, when the son visited home last cnnstmas. According to Paul, his brother had had a successful jump Saturday morn- Yockel Mass sung in Troy HU1 Mass of Christian Burial was sung Tuesday morning in Most Holy Name Roman Catholic Church for Walter A. Yockel, 70.

Mr. Yockel, of 1810 Lowrie Troy Hill, 24th Ward, died in St. John's Hospital Saturday, Feb. 22 ing in a free-fall two-person connection. The afternoon event was to be a three- man connection.

Paul said two factors are to move the reserve chute to open: speed and air pressure. At about 1,000 feet the pressure is supposed to open it. Mr. Bourchier, an employe of Iron City Uniform Towel Service, for 10 years, was a member and lector at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 2510 Middle Road, Hampton.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virginia M. Bourchier; five children, Mrs. Suzanne Bledsoe of Florida; John J.

and Lynn Bourchier, both at home; Patrick of Florida, and John Thomas of Louisiana, and two Paul of Newburgh, and Thomas of Georgia. Friends were received at the John E. Carlos Funeral Home, 923 Saxonburg Shaler. Mass of the Christian Burial will be sung at 11:15 a.m. today, Wednesday, at St.

Mary Church in Hampton. Burial 'will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Mrs. Race, Richland school teacher Services were held Monday for Mrs.

Frances B. Race, 57, who died Sunday, Feb. 23,1975, in St. Margaret Memorial Hospital. Mrs.

Race, vice president of the Mars Area School Board and a teacher in Richland High School. In 1973 she was elected chairman emeritus of the Babcock School District social studies department. She was a graduate of Allegheny College. She was a member of national and state school board associations, the North Suburban Fine Arts League, National Council for the Social Studies, Middlesex Township Republican Women's Club and the Bakerstown Presbyterian Church. Mrs.

Race is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Christine Walters of Worthington, Armstrong County, and Paula and Susan Race of Valencia; a brother, Elvin W. Batchelor of Monaca, and two sisters, Mrs. Gene Walters of Mars, and Mrs. Marian Grant of Lake Oswego, Ore.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 1975--NEWS RECORD--7 Hampton meeting on proposed code Hampton's Transition Committee will hold a public meeting Wednesday, March 5, to consider an administrative code for the municipality which wHl operate under an optional plan of government. The meeting is to be held at 8 p.m. in the Township Building, 3101 McCully Road. Copies of administrative code to be considered are available for inspection at the township office. The public is invited to attend the meeting and to comment on the proposed code, according to Kears Pollock, chairman of the Transition Committee.

Miss Walker, formerly of Shaler, was a retired major in the Army Nurse Corps. She was a former nurse in the Shaler schools and an adjutant in the Shaler American Legion Post 785. Miss Walker is survived by two sisters. Etta Westlund of Charleston, W.Va.. and Irene LeClere of Tucson.

Roy (Lillian) Wharton of Ross, and Mrs, Thomas (Dolores) Stevenson of McCandless; three brothers, Raymond, Martin and Robert Yockel, and eight grandchildren. Burial -was in Most Holy Name Cemetery. Mrs. Heinl, 73 Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 20, for Mrs.

Martha E. Heinl, 73, who died Monday, Feb. 17, 1975, at home, 103 Cherrywood Drive, Reserve. Mrs. Heinl was a member the R.

L. Coulter, retired civil engineer Robert L. Coulter, 82, of 1834 Allison McCandless, died Monday, Feb. 24, 1975, in North Hills Passavant Hospital. Mr.

Coulter, a civil engineer, was retired from Swindell-Dressier Co. He was a member of the Good Fellowship Club of Memorial Park Community United Presbyterian Church. He was also vice president of Chapter 595 of the American Association of Retired Persons. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Jordan Coulter; a daughter, Mrs.

Paul (Ann) Klafter of Millbury, Ohio; two sons. Glen R. of Hagerstown. and Hugh J. of Penn Hills; four a i and one a grandchild.

Kenneth Froeschle of 4213 Ohio River Bellevue, told pofice someone stole two citizens band radios, a tape deck and two suitcases. The items, valued at over $400, were stolen from two tractor-trailer cabs in the Northgate Car Wash parking lot.
