Thursday, July 17, 1958 Judy Frank Ousted Mrs. Allen Bows In State Golf COOPERSTOWN Defending champion Judy Frank was eliminated Wednesday from the state women's golf tournament by the opponent she defeated to win the 1957 title. Mrs. Ruth Torgerson of Garden City, a five-time champion, beat Miss Frank 1 up in a first-round match that see-sawed over the yard course at Cooperstown Country Club.
