BORGER, Tex. It will be literally a cold time on the road for the New Mexico Military Institute Broncos tonight. NMMI plays Frank Phillips College in a Western Junior College Athletic Conference contest tonight in a place Coach Dave Campbell said is cold. "And every lime we go there, it snows." Campbell groaned. Frank Phillips, 5-6 on the season and 3-3 in conference play, is a team that played Western Texas to within two points, then got bombed by Midland.

It is a team that can be trouble. And like most conference teams, it is trouble on its home floor. Which worries Campbell. "We played them in three over times once to beat them my first year here and it's never easy to beat them at their place," Campbell said. "They have a lot of kids who can score and they like to stay ahead of you.

When they get ahead, the'll hold the ball. So we have to stay ahead of them and make them play our game." Campbell said. Matching Lewis Lloyd on the boards will be Frank Phillips' 6-8 James Jones, averaging 16 points per game. Elson Darby, at 6-0.
