Mrs. Carole Gaver and children spent a week visiting relatives. They were guests of her mother, Kennard, and at her sister's home, Logan, Iowa, where they did some fishing. Also visted relatives at Omaha and Blair. Mr.

Don Van Eperen and family, and Mrs. Emma Parde attended a family dinner at the Gary Parde home, Beatrice. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Norton enjoyed a trip via plane to Florida after they were married by Rev.

Hans Farkas in their new home in the southeastern part of Filley. Marcia and Linda Norton went to Florida a week later and they all went to the Bahamas before returning to Omaha via plane. A large group attended the estate sale of the late Donald Hendricksen at his home in Filley. Relatives from Lincoln here all day were Mr. and Mrs.

Ab Armstrong spent a day in Lincoln with Mrs. P. D. Duensing and children. Crab Orchard DELORES WAGNER Annual Memorial Day services were held at Vesta and Crab Orchard cemeteries.

A presentation was given of General Logan's order of the order that began the traditional Memorial Day on May 30, 1868. Roll call of Veterans buried at Vesta and Crab Orchard was held at Vesta, followed by Terry Truscott giving the Gettysburg Address. Post Firing Squad comprised of Bud Jeffery, Lou Rickman, Buzz Rickman, Rudy Joosten, Jim Truscott, Burke Trout and Alfred Whitten had the three shot salute. Color guard included Kenneth Trout, Dennis Trout, Jim Reed and Tom Thies. Bicentennial program presented at Crab Orchard began with group singing led by Janet Trout, assisted by Cindy Rickman, Sharon Rickman, Terry Rickman, Sandy Keller, Jody Christ, Dayle Trout and Pam Jeffery, singing the commemorative songs, "Battle Hymn of Republic," "America the Beautiful," and "America." June 9, 1975 PROCEEDINGS The Gage County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 o'clock a.m. on June 5,1975 for a special board meeting, with all members present. Motion made by El wood seconded by Moormeier to move to hire outside counsel to handle Bridge Prolect No. RS-1022 (1) including Humpback Bridge and Johnson Bridge. All members voting aye except Hagemeler and Bates, they voting naye and Hill abstained.

Motion carried 4-2-1. Motion made by El wood seconded by Moormeier to go into executive session for discussion of outside counsel. All voting aye. Motion carried. Pursuant to executive session, roll call showed all members present.

Motion made by El wood seconded by Moormeier to contact and try to hire the firm of Everson, Noble, Wullschleger, Sutter and Fischer Law Firm as legal counsel on Project No. RS- 1022 (1) and all Items pretalnlng to Project No. RS-1022 (1) and all related legal action. All members voting aye except Hill, he abstained. Motion carried.
