64 Ox-lines tun Thursday Morning, July 6, 1978 Food For Americans Dear- Abby Variety For Low-Cost Favorites No Clone, Just Twins By Abigail Van Buren 1 1S7B by Cflrcago Tribune-It News Synb Inc. DEAR ABBY: Ever since I've been old enough to read a newspaper, I've been confusing you with your sister, Ann Lahders. It wouldn't be so bad if you were an advice columnist and she was a pediatrician. But no such luck. America has only two famous advice-givers worth their salt and they both came from the same parents! t've often wondered how it was possible for two people to resemble each other so much in looks, actions and talent.

Now I know to the latest scientific development. Tell the truth, Abby: Are you or Ann Landers the clone? LEW RILEY, YORBA LINDA, CALIF. DEAR LEW: No cloning here. We are identical twins, but we've been referred to as DEAR ABBY: My mother and my boyfriend (who lives with me) are at war. My mother thinks my boyfriend is using me because he lives with me, and my boyfriend thinks my mother is trying to run my life.

Abby, I am in the middle. I love them both very much, but I'm the one who catches it from both sides. They never speak to each other. I've tried to explain to Mom that he helps with the bills and makes me very happy. And I've to explain to my boyfriend that she is just a regular mother who wants the best for her daughter.

But it doesn't do! any good. The only time I fuss with either of them is over this situation. Please give me some advice. ALL CRIED OUT DEAR CRIED OUT: You tell me what your boyfriend thinks, and also what jour mother thinks, but you don't tell me what YOU think! If you aren't sufficiently mature to handle this situation without getting "all cried out," you belong with a live-in a live-in'boyfriend. DEAR ABBY: Just because you have a will is no assurance that your instructions will be carried out.

Once the lawyer has collected his fee, he is through. It is then the responsibility of the person you name to dispose of your possessions, and the lawyer doesn't know or care what's done. I witnessed the signature of a neighbor on her will. She left all her antiques to her nieces, and her husband knew of her wishes. But after she died, that scoundrel remarried and gave her antiques to the daughters of his second wife! In my husband's will, he left me all his assets, with instructions that at my death I should leave whatever remained to his son.

I didn't. I immediately split everything 50-50 with his son. The safest thing to do is to give whatever you have to whomever you want to have it before you die. P.C.S. DEAR P.C.S.: Your suggestion may be the "safest," but it's not always possible.

I would recommend securing the services of a lawyer. The person you designate to see that your wishes are carred out has the law on his side should your wishes ignored by your heirs. By Aileen Claire NBA Food Editor Chicken has been an nomical, high-protein staple in diets around the world for centuries. With mass production, chicken continues to be less expensive per serving than most meat cuts, seafood and fish. However, we all enjoy variety in our meals and look for new ways to enhance even this old favorite.

A recipe for baked cranberry chicken breasts uses the choicest parts of the chicken, dressed up with corn bread stuffing mix and cranberry-orange relish. For added savings, buy a whole chicken and cut it up at home. Freeze the unused portions to cook for another meal. Meat loaves also help stretch the food dollar. That's because they use less- expensive freshly ground or ground leftover meats mixed with other ingredients, such as bread crumbs, as extenders.

Dress up ground ham with apple, onion, spices and whole cranberry sauce for a different and flavorful ham loaf. This is a great new way to use leftover ham. BAKED CRANBERRY CHICKEN BREASTS 6 chicken breast halves Salt and pepper Vt cup butter or margarine 1 cup chopped celery 1 onion, chopped 1 package (8 oz.) corn bread stuffing mix cup cranberry-orange relish 1 cup chicken broth 1 can (6 oz.) frozen concentrated orange juice, undiluted Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat butter and brown chicken breasts on both sides. Remove from skillet.

Add celery and onion to skillet, sauteeing for 5 minutes. Stir in stuffing mix, relish and chicken broth. Spread mixture evenly in a foil-lined 9-by-l3-inch baking pan. Place chicken breasts on top of stuffing. Pour orange juice evenly over chicken breasts.

Cover and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 40 minutes or until chicken breasts are tender. Makes 6 servings. (Note: This recipe may be prepared with 6 one-inch pork chops. Prepare as above but bake for 1 hour.)
