Seniors Group Hears Lecture About Hawaii DENN1SON Don Plotner Of Uhrichsville was guest speaker lor yesterday afternoon's meeting of the Twin City Area Senior Citizens when 10 members and guests met in the Presbyterian Church social hall. Potner showed pictures and told of his recent trip to Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. William Cecil of Uhrtchsville became members.

Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bert McClintock of Tuscarawas, Mrs. Robert Lewis of Greenwood, and Thurman Welch of here. Next Wednesday members Will make bed pads for area rest homes.

BROWNE SAIGON, South Viet Nam (AP) U.S. jet bombers and fighters flew heavy sorties against suspected Viet Cong positions inside South Viet Nam today.

But no air strikes against North Viet Nam were reported. Vietnamese and U.S. Air Force planes had struck against targets north of the 17th Parallel daily for the past four days. One of today's strikes by Air Force B57s and FIDOs was against a suspected major headquarters of the Viet Cong in western Tay Ninh Province, 60 miles northwest of Saigon. Another was in Communist-controlled Binh Dinh Province, 290 miles northwest of the capital.

A U.S. Army officer flying as observer aboard a light plane was killed by a single shot from the ground Wednesday over Quang Ngai Province, about 390 miles north of Saigon. He was dead when the plane landed back at its base. His death brought the total of American combat dead in Viet Nam since December 1961 to 305.
