by an almost 2-1 margin, according to incomplete returns. Terry's city-county totals were 25,999 votes. Morgan had 14,410 votes. Conservative Thomas J. Vanderweel had 2,266 votes, while Liberal C.

Hutchinson Jr. had 933 votes. Barry's city-county total was' 22,681 votes. Republican Crandall Melvih Jr. trailed by more than.

4,000 votes 17,373. Conservative Thomas F. Mahar had 1,779 Gallivan took an early lead. But for a time his opponent, Republican Peter L. Cappuccilli, caught up and led for a v.hile.

Gallivan had a city-county total of 16,462 Cappuc- ciHi had. 13,412 votes. And Conservative Robert H. Blake had voies. Bartlett had 21,797 votes, leading Democrat Constantine Marcoccia by nearly 8,000 votes.

Marcoccia had 13,911 votes Conservative John Set- had 1,877 Terry serves the 121st (Assembly) District. First elected an assemblyman in 1962, he formerly was assistant secretary to the governor. Terry is vice chairman of the Joint Legislative Commit-, tee on Motor Vehicles, Traffic and Highway In. addition, he has assignments on the Judiciary and Ways and Means committees. Terry was named to the county Board of Supervisors in February, 1948, at the age of 23, youngest, supervisor.in county history.

He was elected on six occasions. A leading area Democrat, Barry will serve A H8th Assembly District. He has been a lower house member since 1964. North Syracuse mayor, he is'in his fifth term as mayor. A member of the State Assembly for the past year, Gallivan will serve the 120th district.

He.was endorsed by the Democratic and Liberal par ties. Former member of the for six years, Gall; van is a member, of the servation, Villages, Public and the Canals and Waterways commit tees of the assembly. In add! tion, he is a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Problems of the Aging. This will mark the first major political office'Bartlett has had. He will serve the 119th Assembly District.

Vice president and dean of public affairs at Syracuse University, Bartlett long has been active in local Republican circles. A member of the SU faculty since 1929, he is considered a pioneer in educational television and radio. LEE Syracuse's senior and junior senators in the State Legislature swept to easy victories yesterday in the 45th arid 46th Senatorial Districts. Dean of Republican senators in the legislature, John 'H. Hughes, rode roughshod over his Democratic-Liberal opponent John'W. Ball, New Berlin, and his Conservative ponent, George Keller, Syracuse. Hughes' victory margin was 26,356, based on unofficial but nearly complete returns, over Ball.

Hughes polled a total vote of 59,700. Ball's total vote was 33,344. He polled 30,783 votes on the Democratic ticket and 2,561 on the Liberal ticket, Keller ran a dismal third, polling a total vote of only 3,811. The 45th District as now constituted includes the eastern part of Onondaga County and Madison and Chenango Counties. The City of Syracuse gave Hughes 16,360 votes, Ball, 10,845 on the Democratic ticket and on the Liberal ticket.

Keller polled 1,052 votes. In towns of a a County, Hughes polled 23,153 votes, Ball, 11,133 on the Democratic ticket and 752 on the Liberal ticket. Keller's vote in the towns was 1,052. a i County gave Hughes 10,693, Ball 4,155 (D) and 408 (L) and Keller, 654. a County gave Hughes 9,394, Ball, 4,650 (D) and 392 (L) and Keller, 272.

Tarky Lombardi who hasn't yet served a full year as senator, won re-election by a margin of 7,020 votes over his Democratic-Liberal opponent, former Sen. Earl E. Boyle, Liverool, and his Con- seratiev opponent, John E. Ferris, Camillus. Lombardi polled a total vote of 53,292, Boyle 46,212 divided between 43,589 on the Democratic ticket and 2,683 on the Liberal ticket.

Ferris polled 4,211. The 46th Senatorial District comprises a part of Syracuse and Onondaga County and all of Cortland County. Boyle the City of Syracuse more than Lombardi but he lost ground in towns of Onondaga County and in Cortland which went heavily for Lombardi. In the city, Boyle polled a total vote of 19,168, divided JOHN H. HUGHES TARKY LOMBARDI JR, Democratic ticket and 1,075 on the Liberal ticket.

Lombardi polled 17,703 votes in the cit. Ferris polled 1,240. The towns of Onondaga County went heavily for Lombardi. He polled 27,189 votes in the towns. The best Boyle could muster was 22,483.

He got 21,216 votes on the Demov cratic ticket and 1,267 on the Liberal ticket. a County helped swell Lombardi's margin. He polled 8.400 votes in that county, which he carried by 3,779 more than Boyle. Boyle a total vote of 4,621, of which 4,280 were Democratic votes and 341 Liberal votes. Ferris povlled 423 votes.

Lombardi defeated Boyle a year ago-to gain a seat in the State Legislature. He became one of the youngest senators. Before his election he was a city councilman-at-large. When first elected to the City. Council, Lombardi was 29 years old.

His rise was meteoric in the six years he served in Council.
