Motels Add Pool Accommodations New swimming pools have been added to many resort motels in the Holland area this past year.

This added facility is part of the in vacation living and many expect this feature. Bush's Motel on "US-31, five miles south of Holland at the big curve, has a brand new pool to accommodate its guests. William Friedrich is the owner of the motel. Other motels in the area are also keeping op witih the times by having the pools available to their guests. Often tourists will spend several days to a week at a that has these accommodations.

In Douglas the Mi-Ro Motel has a large pool with glass walls surrounding it, male it suitable for cool days as well as in the warm days. The Wooden Shoe Motel also has plans for a pool at its new enlarged playground area. The Butler Hotel in Saugatuek, in apite of being on the water, also has built a pool for its guests. In Grand Haven, the Beacon Motel on Beacon boasts a large, well-equipped pool. Amateur Artists Invited To Paint Red Barn Theatre Amateur artists'in the Holland are invited to participate in a contest to paint the Red Barn Theatre in water color, oil or charcoal.

Paintings are to be submitted to tibe Red Barn before Saturday, Aug. 12. Paintings entered early be displayed in the lounge. Judges will select the first prize winner who will receive a $150 cash prize. The Red Barn Theatre also will be interested in buying other paintings of the barn for $25.

No Cause for Action GRAND HAVEN After deliberating 35 minutes, a Circuit Court jury Monday afternoon rendered a verdict of no cause for action in 2 suit brought by Rudy Wittek of Grand Haven seeking $1,020 from John Vander Kolk, also of Grand Haven. Wittek sought the sum for damage to his home which he said was. caused by a large bulldozer operated by Vander Kolk on an adjoining lot in snow removal operations hi February, 1959. Saginaw Girl Killed After Falling'From Auto SAGINAW (UPD-- Sandy'Mer- rill, 15, Saginaw was killed Monday night in a freak accident near here. Saginaw County authorities said the victim fell from a moving car as it was making a turn at Michigan 46 and Old Holland Road.

A second car struck the girl as she fell to the pavement. 1 Killed, 4 Hurt In Auto Collision IONIA (UPD Mrs. Sylvia Osborne, 53, rural Saranac, died Monday following a car truck accident which injured four other' persons. I The accident occurred at intersection of Michigan 66 andl Michigan 50 about 15 miles south of here. Mrs.

Osborne's daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara Osborne, 28, also of Saranac, was the driver of the car. Oscar LeVan, 65, of rural Mulliken, was driving the truck. Two other passengers in the Osborne auto, Mrs. Nina Tucker, 61, Ionia, and Robert Osborne, 14, Saranac, received serious injuries.

They were hospitalized at Ionia. Flint Motorist Killed FLINT (UPD--Tommy Cannon, 69, Flint, was killed Monday when his car struck a truck at the intersection of Ferris and Lippencott.
