Services are pending at Lundy Mortuary. Earnest Ulrich GALVESTON — Earnest Ulrich, 75, of Galveston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 1996 in Texas City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, at Emken- Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Kev. D. N. Benford will officiate. Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Ulrich was born October 17, 1920 in LaGrange, Texas. He was retired from Union Carbide and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Ulrich, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ulrich, Sr., a sister, Susie Ulrich, and brother, Charlie Ulrich, Jr. Survivprs include a devoted brother, A C Ulrich and sister- in-law, Ella Ulrich of Texas City; daughters, Cynthia D. Kanu of Houston and LaBrenda Lee of La Marque; four grandchildren, Jerria Lee, Autria Stafford, Derrick Lee and LaCoria Stafford, all of Texas City; two great- grandchildren, Mickel Holmes and Korion Stafford, both of Texas City; and a host of devoted relatives and friends. Mr. Warren was born on June 22,1921 in Galveston, Texas. A member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in La Marque, the Elks of La Marque and the Texas Travelers Protective Association, he was a veteran of WWH. Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 1996 from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home La Marque. Services will be held Saturday, April 6, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in La Marque. He was a lifelong resident of Galveston. He was the owner of Boulevard Amusement Company and Gulf Bowling Lanes. He was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. Mr. McBride was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Helen McBride. Mr. McBride is survived by sister, Helen Williamson of Galveston; niece, Barbara McMillan of Houston; nephew, O.G. Williamson of Galveston and numerous cousins; and very close friend and companion Dorothy Maceo. He was 90 years old, born in Garland, Alabama, December 11, 1905. He served in the United States Army for eight years during WWI and received an honorable discharge. He was an active member of The Galveston Little League for 20 years and retired as a yardmaster for the Santa Fe Railroad after 30 years of service. Visitation for Mr. Black will be on Friday, April 5,1996 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the Joseph Levy Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 6, 1996 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Alan Taylor officiating.
