The A.C. Nielsen prime time ratings for the week ending Feb. 26, gave CBS an 18.2 rating with a 28 percent share of the viewing audience, ABC a 17.3 rating with a 27 share and NBC a 15.2 rating with a 24 share. Part III of the CBS miniseries "Master of the Game" and Part I of the ABC miniseries "Lace" tied for the No. program of the week, each with a 28.2 rating.

"Master," however, had a 42 percent share of the viewing audience, while "Lace" had a 39 share. Part II of "Master" was ranked third for the week with a 27.7 rating and a 40 share. In the 22-week-old television season, CBS has won the prime time ratings 15 times, ABC 6 and NBC1. The Top 10 prime time shows for the week ending Feb. 26, according to the A.C.

Could you please print it again? They were so good and so easy to do! Betty Wallace What makes this dish so famous is that it is very nutritious, economical and a favorite with most everyone. Absolutely fantabulous to take along on a code-out! Just dice three strips of bacon and fry. When about halt done, add a chopped small onion. When the onion is slightly browned, pour off most of the grease and add a 15-oonce can of pork and beans (packed in tomato sauce), one tablespoon brown sugar, two tablespoons vinegar, and two tablespoons catsup. Stir well, then cover the pan with a lid.

Bake the beans slowly hi a 300F oven for a couple of hours. Or, if you prefer, you may simmer them very slowly on top of the stove for about 30 minutes. Enjoy! RECYCLED TRAYS Dear Heloise: When we have finished eating a coffee cake, or other cake which has been packaged on a foam tray, I wash the tray and save it. When I want to give my friends and neighbors some of my home-baked goodies, I cover the tray with foil, and have a pretty carrier that is sturdy, free and disposable. Mrs.

Box 32000 San Antonio, TX 78216 HINTS FROM HIM Dear Heloise: When buying grapefruit, oranges, to determine which is the juiciest, hold it in your hand. The heavier the fruit for its size, the more juice it will Carmichael Right. I do it all the time, PLASTIC TABLECLOTH Dear Heloise: I use flannel- backed vinyl tablecloths instead of regular cloth ones. I usually bought a new one when the old one became dingy-looking, though otherwise it was still good.

This added up to quite a bit of money each year. Then, I discovered that if I used a small brush dipped in a little liquid dishwashing detergent suds to scrub the cloth a bit, the tablecloth looks almost like new. I wipe off with a damp cloth afterwards to remove the suds. Since I have started doing this I haven't had to buy a new cloth for months! Linda NO GUESSWORK Dear Heloise: The following hint was given to me by my son-in-law, Angelo He suggests that wtri needing only a half pound of spaghetti out of a pound box, instead of trying to guess at that amount, just break all the strands evenly in half. You will automatically have the desired amount.

Kelly Lang Clever son-in-law to have thought of this. Makes serving the pasta a bit easier, too. Thanks for sharing. Heloise theatres The Movies at Cass Plaza STATE CINEMAS HI I. Is this an American sickness? Europeans aren't like that.

Recently a 27-year-old man wrote to you, terrified that he would never find a decent woman because "all the good ones are gone when they get to be my age." Such tommyrot! Perhaps this accounts for the high percentage of divorces. Women feel they MUST marry in order to prove they can. Too often the men they pick (as the last resort) are disasters. I waited until I was 31 to marry because I wanted to do something with my life first. My husband is a gem and we have two lovely children.

On my last birthday he gave me the mushiest card you ever saw. On the bottom he wrote, "And I mean every word of it." Am I sorry I didn't marry sooner? Don't make me laugh. Riverside Reader Dear Riv: All the studies I have seen show that women who wait until after 25 to marry have the best chance of success. Today, because so many females want careers, they are postponing marriage. This can be a healthy thing.

I recommend it. Dear Ann Landers: You were 100 percent right when you said pantyhose do not cause yeast infections in women. And now may I share some information that might be of value to your readers? I was subject to frequent vaginal infections that disappeared when I began to wear pantyhose with a cotton crotch. I learned this from a hosiery clerk. Never a word from my family physician or gynecologist who had examined me and prescribed medication.

I've told this to several women. Most of them already knew it. I hope you will share the information with your readers. There must be other readers out there who were as uninformed as I. Anonymous In Eureka, Calif.

Dear Calif: Thanks for the comment. Many who wrote said they stopped getting infections when they started to wear cotton briefs under their jeans and tightfitting stretch pants. The next writer provided a welcome relief from the male chauvinists I've been hearing from lately. Dear Ann Landers: When you printed that letter about yeast infections and pantyhose, why did you advise your male readers to "skip this letter and go directly to the sports Since when is a woman's problem not a man's? If my wife has a yeast infection, it's my problem, too. Had I skipped that letter and your response, as you suggested, I would have missed an opportunity to learn something.

Please don't sell us short, Ann. We are better than that. Mike In Long Island Dear Mike: Thanks for telling me off. I needed that.
