Business Business briefs SHIRLEY ROAN New agent joins Cruise Travel staff KERRVILLE Shirley Roan has joined Cruise and Travel as a travel agent, said Michael Fischer, director. Roan was most recently a travel consultant at Opryland Travel in Nashville, Term. She has joined the staff of Cruise and Travel as a full-time consultant handling both corporate and leisure travel arrangements. Originally from Conroe, Texas, Roan majored in business at North Texas State Univer- sity in Denton before entering into travel. "With 12 years experience in the travel industry, Roan's capability is an asset to the agency," said Fischer.

Cruise and travel, owned by Michael and Beverly Fischer, was opened in January, 1989, as a full service travel agency, Slivka new employee at Golfland KERRVILLE Ron Slivka has joined the staff at Golfland, said Bill and Lou Lewis, owners of Golfland. Slivka's duties will consist of pro shop sales, club fitting, range management and backup club repairman. "This will release Shan Ballard to concentrate on club repair and refinishing as well as cross-train into golf car and repair under Jerry Russell," said Bill Lewis. "The addition of Ron to our full- time staff is another move to improve our service to our ever- growing customer base." Slivka also is a member of Golfland's teaching staff which includes Lee Spencer, Guy Cullins, Holly Shirley and Pat Stapler.
