M. S. Met The Woman's Home Missionary Society met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Edith Smith. Mrs.

John Brink led devotionals and Mrs. H. Nelson's subject was "Heart and Mrs. Herb Smith who is secretary of the thank offering division selected a committee of three ladies to make plans for a thank offering program to be given some time in November. Mrs.

Peter Thompson was selected chairman with Mrs. Brink and Mrs. Nelson as assistants. The society also decided to send a Christmas box to York Nebraska, and this will be filled at their next meeting, which will be held Dec. 7th at tbe home of Mrs.

H. A. Nelson. Mr. and Mrs.

I. H. Chapman were in Des Moines Thursday where Mrs. Chapman attended a meeting of the state association of school board members held in Hotel Fort Des Moines. Mrs.

The sewing club of the Lutheran aid met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. S. Paulson. Plans for the annual chicken supper to be held Dec.

6 were made and committees appointed. The Christmas cards were on hand and orders are being taken by Mrs. Keith Cran. Holiday dime plates were distributed. Ten galloping teas were reported for two weeks.

Mrs. Ernest Raney and Mrs. Lloyd Braby had charge of devotions and program. Mrs. Phleger gave an explanation of the County Tuberculosis Association.

The next circle meeting Is Wednesday, Xov. 15 when Mrs. Murray Bair and Mrs. Henry Nielsen will serve. The previous serving committee will present the program.

Galloping Tea Two carloads of ladles went to the home of Mrs. Earl Pease near Bradgate Friday afternoon for a galloping tea. On Monday afternoon a large group gathered in the home of Mrs. W. Learmont for a tea and a very pleasant social afternoon.

Roy Freis and sons. Mrs. Harold Coltvet and Mrs. Irvln Opheim were guests at'the Dorcas Ladles Aid meeting in the home of Mrs. Orville Hansen in Humboldt Thursday.

Peter Simonsen. After a social afternoon lunch was served by tbe hostesses. Mrs. Peter Cran, Mrs. Wm.

Gles and Mrs. Wm. Learmont and Helen attended Rutland M. E. Ladies Aid Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cran and family and Mr.

and Mrs. Russell Nelson were Sunday dinner guests In the Peter Cran home. Mrs. Peter Simonsen spent Thursday with her daughter, Mrs. Orville Hansen In Humboldt Mrs.

Hansen stepped on a nail Tuesday and was given a treatment for lock-jaw and since has been quite ill. She is a little better at this time. Carol Cran entertained eight friends at a 6:30 dinner Monday evening, after which Bingo was played.
