THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, SUNDAY MORNING, AUGUST 18, 1935. Reception on Friday Evening Honors Visitors Dr. and Mrs. Verr.on L. Stevenson of Garfield, who are visiting with Dr.

Stevenson's parents, Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Stevenson, at their home on Third avenue, were entertained at a reception Friday evening at the Stevenson home.

Dr. anci Mrs, L. A. Stevenson were assisted by Mr, and Mrs. Reed E.

Holt and Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Michel- Ben. The living rooms were gay with late summer flowers and the garden furnished a cool and pleasant retreat.

In the dining room a scheme of white and silver was carried out in the decorations, The serving table covered with an imported duchess lace cloth silver basket filled with white gladioli, asters and snapdragons formed the centerpiece, with white candles in silver holders at the four corners of the table. The dining room was presided over by Mrs. Holt, who was assisted by Miss Ester Stevenson, Miss Mary Thomas, the Misses Annie, Mary and Alberta Ross and Miss Elizabeth Hutchinaon. The punch bowl In the ballroom was presided over by Miss Virginia HutchJnson anil Miss Betty Ruth Stevenson. Ths guests were received at the door by Mrs.

Michelsen. During the evening Several musical numbers were given, Saturday Mrs. Holt entertained at luncheon in honor of Mrs. Stevenson and Thursday Dr. and Mrs.

Temole i The marriage of Miss Ruth Mor gan, daughter of Mrs. Emily Holmes Morgan, 364 Hollywood avenue, to Douglas Chcsley Barton, son of. Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Barton, 619 East Twenty-first South street, took place Saturday noon in the Salt Lake City L.

D. S. temple. A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents. The bride was lovely her wedding gown of white satin with an enveloping tulle veil caught into coronet effect with seed pearls.

She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Jean Bleak was 'maid of honor and was frocked in pale pink'mousse- lino de soie with silver accessories and she carried pink sweet peas. Miss Norma Bleak, bridesmaid, wore green mousseline de soie and carried lavender sweet peas; Miss Marian Ostler, also a bridesmaid, wore blua mousseline de soie and carried pink sweet peas. Both wore silver accessories. Grant Hogge acted as best man.

The rooms were decorated with a profusion of late summer flowers in pastel shades. Music was furnished during'the evening by Mr. and Mrs. Orin E. Salisbury.

The pouple will make their home in Salt Lake City following a wedding trip along the Pacific coast. Word has been received from Portland, of the marriage of Miss Lily Lu Turville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. O.

Turville, formerly of Salt Lakn. City, now of Portland, to George Crossley, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Crossley, 274 North Second West street.
