WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 1953 Deal Completed To Transfer Local Auto Franchise Transfer of the local Chevrolet automobile franchise from Jack Decker and Dick Boter to Robert DeNooyer of Kalamazoo was completed Tuesday. Negotiations were completed by Rob Roberts, Flint zone manager of Chevrolet. It includes leasing of the building and used car lot located on the corner of Ninth St. and River Ave. The new owner conies from an "automobile" family.

His father, Jerry DeNooyer has the Chevrolet franchise in Kalamazoo, and his uncle, Jake has a similar franchise in Battle Creek. Bob is the.new local dealer. He has been associated with his father in the automobile business since his discharge from the Marines in 1946.

He was graduated from Battle Creek High School before entering service. The family has been keenly interested in Christian education in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
