In addition to his broadcasts, he prepares a daily news column, Washington Reports, published in over 100 newspapers, and a weekly newsletter, Exclusive. Lewis is an amateur composer and wrote many compositions during his college days including the University of Virginia's football rallying song, "The Cavalier Song." Today, he often dashes off short musical verses of political flavor such as "Oh me, what Franklin D. has done to Miss Democracy." He also has constructed several pipe organs, Iwo of which are in use in churches at Hollywood, and Washington, D.C. Lewis has garnered many honors. Included among these are the DuPont Radio Com- imentalor Award; Dislinguished Service Award of Sigma Delta Chi; Gold Medal Award of the Philadelphia Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution: an, award of commendation fromj the National Society of Amen-! can Revolulion; Freedom Foundation Award: cit alien for Americanism, Catholic War Vet erans of Monroe County.
