They brought to six the number of persons held in the case. Another man and woman were arrested shortly after the robbery. F.B.I, agents here said they had recovered all but $531 of the $13,942 taken in the holdup.

Arm-ted at 3 a.m. yesterday when F.B.I, agents armed with machine guns smashed into a Cincinnati motel were: Elmer Roscoe Eaton, 27, a na-tive of Corbin. Daniel A. Maness, 27, formerly of Carthage, N. C.

He is a 275-pound weight lifter. Mrs. Thelma Lavonne "Morning Star" Gallo, 25, Chicago, a self-styled archery, rifle, and pistol expert who formerly worked in carnivals. Ray Faisst, agent in charge of the Louisville F.B.I, office, said most of -the group came here about November 18 from California. Bought Car In Corbin In the robbery, two armed, unmasked men ordered three customers and two tellers at the bank to one side and then scooped up the cash. They fled in an automobile driven by a third man, apparently picking up their companions later F.B.I, said.

The original getaway car was found abandoned in Corbin. Eaton and Maness bought a 1951 auto in a Corbin used-car lot after the robbery. Lucier and Miss Berdion were traveling in another car when arrested Friday. The raid at the Cincinnati motel came after it was learned that the six had planned the robbery while staying there last weekend, the F.B.I, said. Seized While Sleeping The agents smashed the glass door of the motel with a machine-gun butt to seize Maness, who was sleeping soundly.

He awoke to find a gun muzzle 2 feet from his expansive chest. Maness said his weight lifting was interrupted by a stint as a mess sergeant in the Army, where be specialized in fancy pastries. The F.B.I, said Mrs. Gallo and Mm i when appearing as a human tar-get for professional archers. "I hunt mountain sheep, deer, and grizzly bear with a bow and arrow," she boasted, "but my favorite weapon is the pistol.

Men aren't too good with it because they have too much strength in the wrist." Elmer Eaton, who has a wife and five children living in Corbin, was paroled August 26 from San Quentin, according to Faisst. He was committed in December, 1955, after a burglary conviction in San Francisco. $25,000 Bonds Set Faisst said the group had been living in California for some time before coming here. He said agents regpvered $9,132 from the trio arrested in Cincinnati, $4,079 from the couple arrested Friday, and $200 from Ernest Eaton.
