Car at the intersection of Highways 154 and 271 was taken off by the winds. The damage also continued to Ihc northeast of Gilmcr, At the Jimmy Kord house five miles west of Ore Cily on FM 1G49 the storm blew over a large pine tree that first struck the corner of the house and came to rest on the trunk of a Ford car parked in the yard. Reid Allfiood, two miles northeast of Gilmer, had two metal barns on concrete foundations blown away with several thousand dollars worth of damage estimated. There were no animals or hay in the barns. Insurance adjusters reported that most damages were minor running into several hundred dollars on some claims, including roofs blown off out buildings, some chicken coops destroyed.
