12 The Paris News, April 29. 1983 'Dynasty' rates well LOS ANGELES (AP) The season's last episode of ABC's "Dynasty" left stars Krystle and Alexis in danger, but their misfortune was good news for the network in the television ratings. The prime-time soap opera was the top-rated show for the week ending April 24, helping give ABC another network victory in the A.C. Nielsen Co. ratings.

"Dynasty," which focuses on the troubles of Denver oil baron Blake Carrington and his family, had a. rating of 27.7, far above the 22.5 rating of CBS' second-place "Alice." J.R. Ewing and his family had the week off, since CBS' "Dallas," which is "Dynasty's" arch-rival as most popular prime-time soap opera, was preempted last week. "Dynasty" ended its third year with a clif- fhanger.that left Krystle Carrington and Alexis Car- rington trapped in a burning cabin. Linda Evans stars as Krystle, Blake Carrington's wife, and Joan Collins is Alexis, his trouble-making former wife.

ABC won the week with a rating of 16.0. The networks say this means that in an average prime-time minute 16.0 percent of homes with television were tuned to ABC. CBS was second with 14.9 and NBC was thi with 13.6. NBC's new hit, "The A- Team," achieved its highest rank of its season with third place.
